Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a seasoned I.T. professional to supervise their Information Technology operations. The ideal individual must have a minimum of ten yearsâ experience working in I.T., with 3-5 years in a supervisory role. This position is a very hands-on role, requiring this individual to perform many of the day-to-day operations, such as upgrades, migrations, infrastructure changes and end user support.

Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data centre.
Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Must have acquired their Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification.
Must have a post-secondary degree/diploma in an I.T. related field.
10+ yearsâ experience, with 3-5 years in Management.
Must have a great deal of experience within a Microsoft environment, with a focus on Microsoft products, software, and services, such as:
Windows servers and Operating Systems
Backups and disaster recovery
Must have experience with VMware.
This person must have a âhands-onâ approach to management, as they will be working directly with end users and locations.
This individual will be the primary contact of for the clientâs out-of-province/out-of-country locations and responsible for performing remote troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades.
They will also be responsible for traveling to the clientâs remote locations 3-4 times a year.
