Reporting to the Content Manager, the Social Media Specialist will undertake the following responsibilities :

Developing powerful and engaging social experiences for our Lush stores and customers to expand the brand’s digital presence
Creating and publishing content on Lush social media channels aligning with integrated Brand Communications campaigns
Working closely with the e-commerce, creative and film and photo teams to bring social content to life
Contributing to the development of the overall social media strategy
Maintaining a strong grasp of social media and industry trends, and proactively seeking opportunities to leverage this knowledge at Lush
Proposing and launching new channels that will drive engagement with the Lush brand
Monitoring trending conversations, audience insights and overall performance of Lush social channels
Proactively seeking opportunities to improve and strength brand communication through digital storytelling
Delivering accurate, thorough and consistent work with acute attention to detail
Brainstorming and conceptualizing unique ideas with the ability to take feedback and implement it throughout the project timeline

You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years social media experience and ability to demonstrate consistent competency across all social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest and more.

A post-secondary degree in Digital Marketing, Communications or related

Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Experience writing for SEO

A strong aptitude for creativity on the fly

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Have a positive attitude and a great sense of humour

Computer skills required: MS Office Suite, Google Analytics

Experience working in an in-house environment

Strong interest in current events and advancements in technology

Ability to write in the Lush voice and a long time familiarity with the written Lush word
